Principal - Continuous Learning Opportunities

After 8 years of excellent leadership, our current Principal, Mr Mark Ash, has indicated his intention to conclude his term at the end of 2024. The College Board invites applications from well-qualified and experienced applicants who can lead the College into its next phase of development.

Selection Criteria

The Principal is the CEO and responsible to the Board for overall leadership and management of this K-12, co-educational College. Within the context of the College’s Christian ethos, the Board looks to the Principal to provide high quality, innovative and dynamic leadership in all aspects of College life.

1. An active, mature, thoughtful Christian faith demonstrated in the daily practice of a Christian lifestyle and a commitment to Christian education;
2. The capacity to translate that faith into the language and experience of parents and students in a way that is attractive, persuasive, not divisive, and yet challenging;
3. A love of young people (5-18 years), and a passion for their development;
4. A Christ-like, professional demeanour, with excellent oral and written communication and relationship-building skills, accessible to all members of the College community and well able to engage and attract a wide range of families to the College;
5. A demonstrated capacity to lead, support and inspire staff and executive teams, working harmoniously with them and collaboratively achieving agreed goals
6. A dedication and commitment to value and prioritise pedagogical professional development and support effective curriculum reform.
7. A demonstrated capacity to develop and maintain high levels of staff morale as affected by wellbeing, effective conflict resolution, and a capacity to inspire and empower teachers to be effective and dynamic educators;
8. High personal and professional resilience and capacity to deal with the multi-faceted nature of leading a diverse community of people.
9. A demonstrated ability to lead and manage school improvement in, teaching and learning, student and staff well-being, curriculum and academics, policies, systems and compliance, co-curricular offerings, financial and operational management and change.
10. A demonstrated capacity to balance strategic and operational / functional leadership, in an educational context.
