Principal Finance Officer - Government - Get Hired Fast

• Lead and shape the financial strategy of a dynamic department
• Initial 6 month contract with the possibility of extension
• Brisbane CBD with 1-2 days WFH

About the job:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting within established deadlines
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage the development, co-ordination, and finalisation of annual Budget Papers, alongside the delivery of budget estimates during key periods throughout the year
• Ad-hoc duties as required

About you:

• Proven experience in a similar role within a dynamic business environment
• Prior experience in Government and/or using SAP and/or Tridata highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and measures of performance
• In-depth knowledge of corporate governance principles and managerial best practices
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to present and explain complex information clearly
