Principal, Regulatory Policy

This is a rare opportunity to step into a Principal, Regulatory Policy role where you’ll take ownership of complex regulatory and policy issues, influence key decisions, and deepen your expertise as a technical specialist.

Working within our CTP business, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, delivering expert advice across personal injury and statutory insurance schemes. You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy, leading submissions, shaping policy positions, and supporting the business through regulatory change.

This role offers real ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to influence outcomes across both the organisation and the broader industry.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Meanjin (Brisbane), Naarm (Melbourne), and Tarndanya (Adelaide).

What You'll Do

• Lead and deliver regulatory submissions and formal responses


• Take ownership of complex policy and regulatory issues end-to-end, operating with minimal direction


• Provide expert policy and regulatory advice to EMs, EGMs and senior leaders


• Translate regulatory developments into clear, actionable business insights


• Monitor industry and regulatory changes, supporting policy development and legislative reform, and provide timely, strategic advice


• Engage and build relationships with regulators, government and industry bodies (e.g. ICA)

What You'll Bring

• Significant experience in regulatory policy within insurance (CTP, Workers Compensation or General Insurance)


• Proven ability to draft high-quality regulatory submissions and correspondence (essential)


• Demonstrated experience engaging with regulators, government or industry bodies


• Strong understanding of statutory schemes and regulatory environments


• Ability to analyse complex issues and translate them into practical business outcomes


• Confidence influencing and partnering with senior stakeholders


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
