Role description:
Arcadis is looking for Principal/Lead road designers to be part of major D&C Tender Design projects expected during the second half of 2025. The projects expected involve High Speed Motorways and Major Urban Arterials
Role accountabilities:
- Manage, plan, resource and complete the assigned delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed budgets and deadlines;
- Identifying, communicating and optioneering with the team to resolve technical road design issues.
- Ensure the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project; and
- Maintain ongoing communication with relevant Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients when required, to ensure effective communications on matters relevant to the project.
- Provide direction and technical guidance to the project road design team.
- Assist with the development of road design systems required for the delivery of road infrastructure projects.
- Co-ordinate information exchange/protocols between delivery partners.
Qualification & Experience:
- First and foremost, you share our passion for maximizing impact. You want to contribute to improving the ways we work and love innovation. You will come to us with-
- A background in drafting with suitable a degree or qualification relevant to Civil Engineering;
- Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads is essential,;
- Experience in a project delivery environment with demonstrated participation in the delivery of major road infrastructure projects;
- Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design is essential, Knowledge and experience in applying NZTA standards desirable.
- Knowledge of local authority CADD standards and deliverables (i.e. TfNSW, VICRoads, QLD TMR)
