The Executive Director of Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA) invites applications for the Principalship role at Assumption Catholic Primary School based in Mandurah commencing 1 January 2027.

Assumption Catholic Primary School is a vibrant double-stream Catholic co-educational school serving students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Established by the Presentation Sisters more than forty years ago, the school is guided by its motto, "United in Christ," and provides a faith-filled learning environment where students are nurtured academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally.

• Experience in leading inclusive, student -centred learning environments that respond to the diverse needs of all learners.


• A commitment to supporting staff professional growth, fostering collaboration and innovation, and valuing staff expertise to enhance student outcomes.

• Proven ability to build trusting and collaborative partnerships with families, engaging parents as active partners in their child’s learning and wellbeing.


• The capacity to create a welcoming, connected and inclusive school community through visible, relational leadership and clear communication with students, staff, parish and the wider community.

Stewardship 

• The ability to develop and support staff through professional learning, leadership opportunities and a focus on staff wellbeing.


• Demonstrated capacity to lead effective school operations through thoughtful use of resources, transparent decision making and a focus on improving outcomes for students and the school community.

Selection Criteria:

• Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education.


• Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent.


• A collaborative and future-focused leader who understands and supports the strategic priorities of the broader Catholic Education system. 


• A relevant Master’s degree (or working towards completion) with the ability to apply advanced leadership and management principles to both the day-to-day and long-term leadership of a school is highly desirable.


• Current Teacher Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA).


• Current WA Working with Children Check (WA WWCC).
