We have opportunities for skilled and detail-orientated individuals to join the team as Pet Food Mincers.
Their primary responsibility but not limited to this role; is to operate machinery to process raw materials into high quality pet food products. The ideal individual will have a strong understanding of food safety protocols, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Located in Edinburgh North,
shifts are Monday to Friday
spanning from 6:00am - 6:00pm.
To be considered: - Previous experience in a similar role, essential
- MUST be able be able to tolerate handling animal by-products
- Experience operating industrial machinery
- Possess a high level of concertation
- Must have a high level of physical fitness / strength to perform the inherent requirements of the role
- Be willing to be crossed trained
- Forklift Licence, highly regarded but not essential
- Understand Manual Handling Practices
- Have sound knowledge of and understanding of WHS protocols
- High focus on quality and productively
- Be adaptable and committed
- Be able work independently and a team setting
- MUST have own reliable transport
- Have clear and concise numeracy, literacy and verbal skills
- Must be able to pass strength and agility testing to be considered
- MUST have own reliable transport
- Must have food industry safety boots
- Must have full Australian Work Rights
The role: - Operate and maintain food mincing and hopper machinery
- Prepare and unpack raw ingredients according to company process and standards
- Feed raw ingredients in to mincing machine
- Transfer prepared mince into hopper
- Pipe prepared mince into rolls
- Quality control, regulation of flow of mince into hopper
- Repetitive manual handling and packaging of filled rolls
- Cleaning of all machinery and equipment, including general housekeeping
- Adhere to all WHS and Food Processing Policies and Procedures
- Must take direction from the Production Team Leader and/or management
