About the Role

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating strategic initiatives across Procurement in support of the Suncorp Bank Integration Program.

The role partners with business leaders, program teams and operational stakeholders to drive delivery outcomes and successful implementation of key integration activities. Working across multiple workstreams, you will provide leadership and coordination to ensure initiatives remain on track, risks are actively managed, stakeholders remain engaged and business outcomes are achieved.

The role requires a blend of initiative delivery, stakeholder management, communications, change leadership and business readiness expertise to support the successful execution of Procurement's integration commitments.

Role Type: Fixed term/ Secondment (12 Months )
Role Location: Melbourne VIC
Work Hours: Full Time (40 Hours/Week)

What will your day look like?

Initiative delivery

• Lead delivery of assigned integration initiatives from planning through to implementation and transition into business-as-usual


• Develop and maintain initiative plans, milestones, dependencies and delivery schedules


• Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure agreed outcomes are delivered on time and within scope


• Track progress, identify delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies


• Escalate issues and decisions requiring leadership intervention.

• Ensure operational teams are prepared for transition and change adoption.

Stakeholder engagement

• Build strong relationships across Procurement, Suncorp Bank, ANZ business units and program teams


• Facilitate working groups, workshops and stakeholder forums


• Drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities


• Support leaders in managing stakeholder expectations and communications.

Change and communications

• Develop and deliver engagement, communication and change activities that support initiative outcomes


• Translate complex program activity into clear and actionable communications


• Support leaders with key messaging, presentations and stakeholder updates


• Drive awareness, understanding and adoption of new processes, systems and ways of working


• Identify and manage change impacts and resistance.

Governance and reporting

• Prepare governance papers, status reporting and leadership updates


• Monitor and report initiative performance against agreed milestones and objectives


• Maintain action, risk, issue and dependency registers


• Support Steering Committees, leadership forums and governance meetings as required


• Ensure delivery decisions and actions are effectively documented and tracked.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Demonstrated experience leading complex business initiatives, transformation programs or strategic projects


• Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability


• Procurement or operational business experience


• Experience operating in large, complex organisations


• Proven ability to coordinate delivery across multiple teams and functions


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Experience preparing executive-level papers, presentations and updates


• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in ambiguous environments.

• Financial services experience


• Merger, acquisition or integration experience


• Procurement or operational business experience


• Business readiness or organisational change experience


• Knowledge of programme governance frameworks.
