Are you an experienced Procurement Lead who thrives on balancing commercial outcomes with regulatory and operational resilience? Do you want to lead end-to-end supplier lifecycle activities, from RFIs/RFPs, onboarding, performance oversight and offboarding, while partnering closely with multiple business stakeholders across the region?

We're looking for a Procurement Lead to own Australia's procurement and operational resilience agenda, shaping and implementing sourcing strategies, locally owned tools and robust processes, and influencing supplier selection across the region.

Key responsibilities?

The Procurement Lead will provide guidance and oversight, enabling the business to effectively execute an appropriate balance between procurement practices, commercial reward and meeting regulatory obligations for Operational Resilience. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to optimise sourcing, purchasing, and supply management activities.
• Lead the development, change management and administration of locally owned sourcing and selection tools and applications.
• Lead and coordinate sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, tender documentation, evaluation matrices and related process controls to support sound supplier selection and decision-making.
• Work with business owners and build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions, and securing optimal pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Work closely with Legal and relevant stakeholders to support drafting, review and negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for value engineering, supplier consolidation, and process improvements to achieve cost savings targets.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations, including ethical sourcing practices, ESG considerations and relevant legal, statutory and corporate requirements. and supplier diversity programs.
• Implement robust supplier performance management programs, including regular performance reviews, supplier audits, contract management KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on procurement performance, improvement opportunities, key metrics, and potential risks.

About you
• Advanced level of customer focus - internal and external
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
• Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
• Solid relationship building and influencing skills
• Advanced negotiation, planning and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience in procurement, supplier management, vendor management or comparable supply-lifecycle role.
• Experience in insurance or broader financial services is desirable. Additional experience in insurance is desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, business, supply chain management or another relevant field.
• Professional industry memberships, qualifications or certifications in procurement or governance is desirable.
• Experience in cost analysis, services procurement contract management, sourcing and selection techniques.
• Experience in procurement tools contract-management systems and workflow applications.
• Experience in the production of Operational, Executive, Committee or Regulatory reporting.
• Experience in regulatory driven change programs and initiatives and exposure to relevant prudential standards, legislation and regulatory requirements (desirable).
• Excellent working knowledge of PC based systems and applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and other working tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.", "salary_raw": "Row(double=None, string=None)"}
