Design plays a central role in that transition.

This role is an opportunity to define how a complex, data-rich, operational product feels, works, and scales. You’ll help shape Asseti as it evolves from a diagnostic platform into a true operating system for asset operations.

The role

You are the founding design leader at Asseti.

Your responsibility is to define the design foundations, systems, and ways of working that allow Asseti to scale with confidence. You’ll work closely with product and engineering to shape how complex customer problems are understood, structured, and translated into clear, usable experiences.

This is a hands-on role. You will design real product surfaces, work directly with customers, and partner deeply across the business. Over time, you’ll also help build and lead a high-quality design function as the company grows.

This role suits someone who sees design as a system for problem-solving, not just a delivery function.

What you will do

Lead Continuous Customer Discovery

• Work directly with enterprise customers to deeply understand their day to day and pain points. Every starts and ends with the customer in mind
• Run high-quality discovery across interviews, observation, artefact review, and workflow mapping
• Translate messy, real-world problems into clear opportunities and prototypes to validate continuously

Shape Product Direction Through Design

• Collaborate deeply with product and engineering to frame problems, explore solution spaces, and make deliberate trade-offs
• Shape product direction by bringing strong systems thinking and customer insight into everyday decisions
• Help teams move faster by creating clarity, alignment, and shared understanding

Build a Scalable Design Practice

• Define how design works at Asseti, from discovery through delivery
• Leverage AI and modern tooling to accelerate research, synthesis, and iteration
• Set the foundations for a future design team, including quality bars, roles, and ways of working

What you will bring

• 8+ years experience as a product designer working on complex B2B or enterprise software
• Strong systems thinking, with experience designing beyond individual screens or flows
• You embrace AI tools to enhance your workflow, from discovery and research to generating assets and accelerating the design process.
• High agency and sound judgment. You move work forward without needing heavy process or guidance
• Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders
• A pragmatic approach to design, knowing when to go deep and when to keep things simple

Bonus points for

• Experience building or leading a design function from first principles
• Experience with data-heavy, analytical, or operational products
• Familiarity with asset management, infrastructure, or enterprise operations software

You’ll be the first design hire at Asseti, with meaningful ownership over how the product evolves and how design scales.
