About the company and our products
Kalogon is an early stage startup based in Melbourne, FL that has won CES and SXSW awards for our smart seating solution for wheelchair users, and who is rapidly developing solutions for anyone who sits for long periods of time.
Kalogon’s first product is a smart cushion, Orbiter, that relieves pain and fatigue experienced by individuals who use wheelchairs. Orbiter leverages our patent-pending core technologies: an air management system, a dynamic motion AI, and custom molding. These technologies help to improve blood flow while seated, ultimately promoting good tissue health, lessening fatigue, and increasing comfort.
For our first customers, wheelchair users, we are focused on alleviating pressure injuries. Our technology has strong capabilities that apply to other industries where people are seated for long periods of time including the defense industry, aviation, automotive, and even consumer applications such as gaming.
Kalogon has three products for wheelchair users, Orbiter, Orbiter Med, and Booster. We have trials running with the US Air Force for B-52 pilots, a commercial aviation proof of concept, and an automotive test currently in flight.
Our team is a blend of experienced tech industry veterans, passionate engineers, and people focused on ways to help folks stay seated and stay healthy.
Kalogon focuses on Medical Devices, Health and Wellness, Medical Technologies, and Accessibility Tecnology. Their company has offices in Melbourne. They have a small team that's between 11-50 employees. To date, Kalogon has raised $3.3M of funding; their latest round was closed on September 2022.
