YOUR IMPACT

We are in search of a dynamic Production and Operations Manager to lead the production and operations function driving Never Never towards our ambitious growth goals. 

This will include setting and meeting targets for output, quality standards, costs, procurement, safety and continuous improvement and being responsible for the overall delivery of production targets to ensure adherence with the company’s strategic growth plan. You will report to the Head Distiller and work closely with procurement and logistics supervisors. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Lead the enhancement of continuous improvement across all distillery management systems, including production costs, quality, packaging, procurement, OH&S, ATO, and IT;
• Oversight of COGS, seeking efficiencies now and during scaling; 
• Manage reporting, compliance, and more importantly drive critical business decisions;
• Lead initiatives to prepare for scaling product output 5x over the next 36 months, including risk assessment and mitigation planning;
• Support and provide leadership to the Production and Operation teams; 
• Support the Head Distiller to drive key projects and change management;
• Cultivate meaningful relationships across the business, Asahi/CUB and with other key stakeholders;
• Help us drive sustainability and safety across the workplace.

ABOUT YOU

Key qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience in operations management reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 8 years of experience in operations management reflecting increasing levels of responsibility;
• 5 plus years’ experience as an Operations Manager within a highly regulated, quality manufacturing FMCG environment. Experience in similar role within a Winery, Brewery or Distillery is highly advantageous; 
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects and stakeholder management;
• Extraordinarily practical. Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure;
• Entrepreneurial and self-starting. Strong work ethic and a ‘get it done’ mentality; 
• Excellent communication & presentation skills;
• Proficient in the use of IT equipment, strong Microsoft excel skills advantageous;
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget preparation and controls;
• Full rights to work in Australia.
