Production Assistant - with Growth Opportunities

As the Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production team throughout all stages of the fashion production process. Your responsibilities will involve variuos tasks aimed at ensuring the efficient and timely execution of projects, from initial concept to final delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre and post shipment operational activities.
• Monitor and report on current or potential changes to shipping.
• Preparation of sales and shipping documentation.
• Support the Sales team with order entries
• Support in the management of mass production purchase orders end to end.
• Work closely with the production team to facilitate the smooth operation of all production activities. 
• Provide support as needed to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. 
• Help maintain and update production schedules, tracking deadlines and milestones.
• Support in the development of products in the range to ensure they are viable for production.
• Reviewing and approving Production Samples.
• Ensure factories are fully briefed on product concept and dealing with daily queries and questions. 
• Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard of quality with strong attention to detail.
• Strong ability to work under pressure and make timely decisions on behalf of your team.
• Coordinate with designers, stylists, and production team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Help maintain and update production schedules, including tracking deadlines and milestones.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role with offshore production experience is a must
• Experience using excel or an ERP system beneficial
• Knowledge of garment construction and textile development
• Must be highly organised and very detail orientated.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• The ability to work with in a team and independently.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills
• The confidence to share your opinion and the respect to listen to others.
• A strong understanding of working with a sense of urgency.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on production progress and address any concerns.
