Production Operator

Due to an exciting new growth period, ForestOne are actively looking to build our workforce in our Benalla Manufacturing plant. 

We are seeking dedicated, and safety – conscious individuals to join our  team. As we continue to expand our operations, we have multiple opportunities in our Pressing team, Laminating, Cut to Size, Sawmill operations available for those with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.  

As a part of the team, you will undertake the following tasks:

• Production of particleboard to the required standards
• Check specification sheet against press settings to ensure that the particleboard is produced in a timely and efficient manner meeting all required specifications and quality.
• Carry out all quality checks as per current procedures
• Maintain target levels and operate laminating line at maximum efficiency at all times.
• Operate the packing station and / or fork lift operations.
• Storage, care and stock counts of paper and pallets
• Accountable for the production of finished product to the required standards and quality
• Unload the Pressline out feed when the sanding lines are unattended.
• Ensure that safety equipment and protective clothing are used at all times when required.
• Stack, pack or wrap long boards

Some of the key skills/ experiences we are looking for are:

• Ability to work within a small team, excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Numeracy skills, ability to perform board dimension checks.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to work rotating shifts 24 / 7 operations.
• Ability to meet diligent standards of quality compliance.
• Computer competence in Microsoft office an advantage.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift and carry up to 15kg
