The opportunity

We are currently seeking a Production Planner for our KVA department to join our team.

Reporting to the Senior Production Planner, this position is responsible for the effective planning of SunPorks Value-Added functions in Kingaroy (KVA) in line with our raw material supply, sales demand, and production capacities. The role ensures the successful forecasting, coordination, planning, and dispatching of SunPorks production through working closely with the SunPork Commercial Operations team and the facilities production team.

Key Duties of the role include: 

• Be responsible for production scheduling within the KVA facility which includes: 
  • Daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules.
  • Monitoring safety stock levels & MLOR’s ensuring we meet orders and customer expectations. 
  • The tracking/scheduling of in stock raw material, ensuring shelf life is managed effectively.
  • Assist the site in load levelling where possible to help minimize running costs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Production Planning – Fresh team to ensure that all pork raw materials are available to the facility when required.
  • Managing the externally purchased meat for the KVA facility.
  • Ensure orders are scheduled in-line with both our raw material supply and production capacities.
• Work with all relevant parties on new launches, seasonal events (i.e. Christmas, ham season, etc.) and public holidays to ensure a plan is set that works for all. 
• Work closely with the sales and sales admin team members on forecasted/upcoming orders, promos, new/deleted lines, and overruns/shortages to orders.
• Regular review of production results and order completion rates; Ensuring feedback is provided to all relevant parties as required (i.e. KVA team, sales team, etc.)
• Ensure the timely communication to all relevant parties with any production related issues that will affect customers’ orders and raw material supply (internal and external).
• Provide detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
