As our Program Coordinator Asset Renewal, you'll lead the strategic planning, coordination and delivery of critical wastewater treatment asset replacement projects that keep our services running reliably. In this role, you’ll lead the delivery of the asset renewal program across Redland City’s water and wastewater asset base. This is a leadership position within the team, where your expertise in program delivery and procurement will directly contribute to essential services that support the community every day.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while fostering a strong safety culture and positive team environment. Council will support your continued growth with training and development opportunities, including pathways to gain full industry qualifications and progress your career.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience in developing and delivery of asset renewal programs and projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• 
  
  Developing and managing asset renewal programs that support the long-term performance and sustainability of Council's assets
  
  


• Identifying and securing funding opportunities for the ongoing renewal of water and wastewater assets across the Redlands Coast


• Coordinating the delivery of the asset renewal program


• Assisting with budget development, forecasting and financial control for the renewal program


• Overseeing project budgets and monitoring works in progress to ensure timely, cost-effective and high-quality delivery


• Identifying innovative approaches and continuous improvement opportunities to enhance program delivery and business processes


• Promoting and maintaining a strong safety-first culture across all activities


• Providing technical guidance throughout procurement processes to support successful program delivery 


• Managing the day-to-day delivery of existing capital works projects


• Managing project requirements, including environmental, planning and compliance obligations


• Utilising asset and work management systems (such as Assetic) to plan, track, report and manage works and defects.

Skills and experience:

• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines


• Demonstrated experience supporting the delivery and coordination of infrastructure works.


• Experience using asset or work management systems (such as Assetic) or similar platforms.


• Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and environmental requirements within a project delivery environment.


• Ability to interpret technical information and coordinate specialist advice to support informed decision-making.


• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.


• Proven ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.


• Experience with procurement and contract administration in a local government or similar infrastructure environment is desirable.

Who we are:

Eligibility:

• You'll hold qualifications in Project Management or possession of a related qualification from a recognised tertiary institution combined with substantial relevant municipal infrastructure and project management.


• You'll have a Current Class “C” Drivers Licence.


• You'll have a Construction Industry White Card.


• To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
