Program Director , Transport and Main Roads

The Regional Digital Business team supports regional communities to establish commercially sustainable digital businesses, enabling them to take advantage of social and economic opportunities arising through increased participation in the digital economy. There is a focus on improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island communities.

As the Program Director of the Regional Digital Business team, you will lead program initiatives that support the digital economy portfolio objectives, including delivery of high-profile whole-of-Government and departmental digital initiatives. At times, this role is required to travel throughout Queensland including rural and First Nations communities to engage and consult on QGCDG initiatives.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Lead and manage a team to facilitate the development and delivery of digital and ICT strategies, action plans and program delivery.
• Coordinate program deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements, ensuring risk identification, mitigation, and establishment of escalation strategies to meet departmental reporting obligations.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships while communicating persuasively with a broad network of colleagues across the department, Queensland Public Sector, other relevant jurisdictions, and industry stakeholders, to maximise outcomes and ensure a collaborative approach to delivery of digital economy projects and initiatives.
• Create trusted and sustained relationships with regional communities, including First Nations communities, and provide guidance and support to increase participation in the digital economy, including delivery of community engagement activities and events.
• Strategic coordination of QGCDG engagement with regional communities.
• Support evaluation and reporting of QGCDG performance against its priorities and commitments.
