Job Description - Program Manager, Client Services








Established the 1980's, providing long-term accommodation and support services for young adults with disabilities, this organisation  has expanded their services to cater for all ages offering In-home support, accommodation services, supported independent living and a variety of community inclusion services.







Who are you and what will you bring?







To be considered for this position you will be a motivated, supportive and confident leader in client services and operations who is able to build strong relationships and work successfully at all levels of the organisation. You will work collaboratively in a person centred environment, tailoring your approach to the needs of the individual while strategically identifying workforce issues and developing future-proof strategies such as training and development focused on quality improvement.







Accountability, responsibility, professional code of conduct and adhering to NDIS compliance are essential to success in the role.







You will easily establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders and have clear and effective communication skills. You will have great attention to detail and accuracy in case notes and record keeping.







What will you do?







  • You will be part of creating a highly motivated and passionate Client Services Leadership Team and actively making a difference to the lives of people with disabilities. You will make a significant contribution to the strategic direction, leadership and management of the Team Leaders and Community Support Workers.

  • As Program Manager – Client Services, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of quality person centred services that support client safety, well-being and achievement of individual and organisational goals. You will be actively promoting and expanding services which build independence and quality of life for people accessing disAbility Living’s services.

  • With a comprehensive understanding of quality service delivery and engagement, your role will involve coaching, leading and mentoring teams, ensuring clients goals are achieved and quality of life is enhanced in the success of authentic person-centred care.




You will:






  • Actively contribute to working with and adopting the NDIS Practice Standards that apply to NDIS service providers in Australia and their influence on disAbility Living’s service delivery, business and management practices

  • Participate in the continuing business development and expansion of new business opportunities, enhancing existing business and service delivery activity

  • Support the development, including the subject matter supervision (as appropriate) of Team Leaders and support staff to meet their strategic and operational objectives

  • Demonstrate sound financial acumen across all aspects of income and expenditure related to the business unit

  • Provide effective leadership, direction, mentorship and assistance to staff fostering a culture of effective communication and interpersonal relationships, innovation, problem solving, and knowledge acquisition

  • Management of holistic client wellbeing, governance and support to reach each client's unique goals

  • Oversee the delivery of person-centred services to clients informed by evidenced based best practice and regular reporting of service delivery outputs.








Employment is dependent upon obtaining NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and a Working with Children Check (WWCC). You must have the right to Work in Australia and the ability to travel independently across our sites. Requirements








  • Tertiary qualifications in disability, allied health, developmental education, or related field or equivalent experience at a senior or management level

  • Experience working with people with disabilities and their families

  • Certification in Management or demonstrated ability/experience within the disability sector

  • First Aid training certification.








Desirable Criteria








  • Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education or similar

  • Experience in overseeing clinical governance and NDIS workforce capability

  • Experience of leading and managing operational service teams

  • Experience of self-managing work schedule and working under strict deadlines

  • Experience conducting staff training

  • Problem solving and a "can-do" attitude while promoting employee engagement and effective team work.
