Based at RAAF Base Amberley, Ipswich this Project Coordinator position is part of the Change Management team within the MTTES program and provides Electronic Warfare (EW) Training Range services to the Australian Defence Force in Queensland and the Northern Territory, and other deployed locations. We operate and sustain a diverse range of EW systems and associated networks and software to deliver the required training outcomes.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support to the Security and Land Access function, ensuring effective coverage and continuity of services.
  • Maintain and manage data records, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of information .
  • Coordinate facilities-related activities, including liaising with Defence stakeholders regarding the Amberley building and associated requirements.
  • Preparation and management of program management artefacts, including meeting agendas, presentation packs, and action item management.
  • Undertake travel as required, both within Australia and internationally, to fulfil the requirements of this role (typically within Southeast Queensland and Northern Territory).


Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Requires a University Degree in Business, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of physical security requirements, supporting compliance with security policies and procedures and contributing to the effective management of security-related activities.
  • Apply knowledge of project, program, or business systems to support operations, identify improvements, and implement enhancements in day-to-day activities.
  • Support the preparation of high-quality presentations, reports, and project documentation to enable effective communication and decision-making.
  • Contribute to project delivery through the use of project management tools (e.g. Jira), supporting task tracking, coordination, and workflow management.
  • Provide informed administrative and coordination support, drawing on relevant experience and understanding of business and project environments.
  • Apply an understanding of global trade compliance requirements, including ITAR and import/export controls, supporting adherence to regulatory obligations and organisational policies.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
