We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our team. Project Engineers at FSC work on infrastructure projects for various clients in the road, rail, tunnelling, utilities and associated sectors.
As a Project Engineer you will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from project conception to completion.
You will work with our clients and other FSC team members to plan, deliver and hand over projects throughout South Australia.
Responsibilities
In general, your responsibilities would include the following:
Prepare and implement Construction Method Statements, including staging and construction methodology.
Monitoring key construction safety and quality requirements and implementing prompt corrective action if required, to ensure they are achieved in line with agreed specifications
Manage a team of Junior Engineers
Procure and manage subcontracts including monthly claim process in accordance with delegated authority
Managing temporary works designs and ensuring all relevant approvals are obtained and prepare temporary works design briefs
Oversee procurement of materials and testing
Lead project coordination efforts, ensuring timely and accurate project delivery
Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, and scheduling.
Manage project costs, end of month reports, and provide cost forecasts for the managed works
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders

You will also have:
A degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
5 years experience delivering civil infrastructure projects
An ability to work constructively in project teams to solve problems, drive health and safety culture and produce quality outcomes
Strong interpersonal skills to liaise positively with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of innovative client solutions
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
