Project Engineer

Project growth has led to BADGE Construction looking for a professional and capable Project Engineer to join our team based in Perth. If you looking to take that next step in your commercial construction career this is the right role for you. 

About you:

To be a successful Project Engineer at BADGE, you'll be a highly motivated and adaptable individual who builds effective relationships. You will have intimate knowledge of quality assurance processes including ITP's, verifying subcontractor works and the like. 

We're after someone who has completed tertiary study in Construction Management, Engineering or Quantity Surveying. You may becoming off an infrastructure project, ready to progress from completing simple tasks for one of the large infrastructure Contractors and wants more diversity and experience, ready to move to Commercial buildings. Previous experience working on structural and services focused projects is highly desirable.

You will also be adaptable and committed to learn our systems and processes, including the use of CHEOPS.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Prepare, implement and maintain a QA Master Plan and submissions register for all building trades and ensure that it satisfies our contractual  and quality requirements.
• Maintain and update all site contract documentation, project specific Project Plans, special procedures, drawings, specifications and the like.
• Coordinate and supervise all site visits and inspections to be undertaken by technical supervisors, testing agencies, consultants or client’s technical representatives.
• Support project teams in delivering the key project quality, documentation and close out technical requirements - specifically working around RFI's, ensure quality requirements tracked and adhered to on site
• Ensure shop drawings are issued and documented. Ensure documentation issued to Suppliers and subcontractors and maintained throughout project duration
• Work with PM in building up, developing and monitoring both long range and target programmes.
• Assist in ensuring full ‘as constructed’ compliance with the agreed scope of works for each trade package and document any variations accordingly.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with contract documents, and the relevant building codes and regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of detailed Handover / Commissioning / Decanting Plans as required to suit the clients requirements and the staging of the works.
• Manage and coordinate the preparation of all completion documentation, statutory approvals, building certification, engineer’s inspection reports and the like, strictly in accordance with the contract documentation and other client requirements to facilitate provision of the Final Certificate.
