About the Company…

The Company is a family-oriented and multicultural team, that has been established for over 25 years as a specialist in steel fabrication, located on the Gold Coast. They provide a holistic array of services including assembly of complex steel components, structural steel testing and fabrication across the construction, commercial, heavy industries and public sectors.

Due to their extensive year-on-end growth within the industry, the company is now seeking to employ a Project Engineer.

About the Position…

In this position, you will be required to coordinate between operations and project management, while meeting the client’s expectations. You will need to provide regular updates to the senior management team regarding project progress, cost, budget and scheduling for all projects. Further duties include:

• Liaising with suppliers on item details and pricing
  
  


• Raising Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with supplier quotations
  
  


• Ordering materials, and coordinate deliveries with operations
  
  


• Ensure that the relevant engineering standards are adhered to, including material specifications
  
  


• Keeping track of project budgets and inform the operations manager on progression
  
  

The Ideal Candidate…

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as Project Engineer, working in a project-based environment. Further to this, the ideal candidate will have;

• Experience in planning and schedule management
  
  


• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study
  
  


• Experience in accounts reconciliation (highly beneficial)
  
  


• Experience in steel fabrication (highly beneficial)
  
  


• Experience working in a team-based environment
