Project Manager - Distributed Energy & Digital Integration
Location: Perth, WA preferred (open to other Australian states with occasional travel to Perth)
Contract: 6-month engagement
Rate: Up to $1,050 per day + super

Play a key role in advancing Australia's energy transition. We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver innovative distributed energy projects, taking initiatives from trial and pilot phases through to operational rollout in a regulated, technically complex environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage projects end-to-end: scope, schedule, cost, risk, governance, and stakeholder reporting.
• Oversee integration of operational technology (OT) systems such as ADMS, DERMS, SCADA with digital platforms and vendor solutions.
• Coordinate engineering, IT, and operations teams alongside external vendors and regulatory bodies.
• Support field trials, monitor KPIs, and manage staged rollouts into business-as-usual operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including flexible export limits and Dynamic Operating Envelopes (DOE).
• Address cybersecurity, data integrity, and control interface requirements across systems.

What You'll Bring
Essential:

• Proven experience delivering complex projects end-to-end in critical infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical groups.

Highly Regarded:

• Background in the electricity or energy sector, ideally within deregulated markets.
• Experience with distributed energy resources (DER), including solar, batteries, demand response, or VPPs.
• Familiarity with OT systems (ADMS, DERMS, SCADA) and their role in network operations.
• Understanding of DOE concepts, flexible exports, and compliance processes.
• Exposure to IT/OT integration, APIs, data models, and vendor platform governance.
• WA base preferred, but candidates from other states considered with willingness to travel.
