Job Description - Project Manager

  • the role offers the chance to directly contribute to UWA's strategic direction by spearheading IT initiatives that align with the university's goals.
  • The position provides a platform for significant leadership and collaboration.
  • Full-time appointment on a permanent, ongoing basis.
  • Base salary range (level 8 – level 9): $ 106,775 - $ 130,504 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
  • About the area

    UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services to enable its strategic direction and goals. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models.

    Robust, flexible, integrated and agile enterprise architecture, information and technology services are vital to enabling the university strategic objectives.

    About the opportunity

    As the appointee you will have a significant role in managing the consistent and successful delivery of solutions and services. This is achieved through the planning, execution and delivery of projects on time, within budget, to specified quality and within scope. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, you will manage specific and overall project status and project teams to mitigate issues and risks.

    About you

    • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
    • Project management qualification preferably in Prince2 and Agile
    • Substantial and extensive leadership experience in managing multiple diverse teams to deliver successful project outcomes against tight schedules and shifting parameters
    • Extensive experience in stakeholder management and engagement, together with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels and as a member of multiple teams
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level consultation and negotiation skills
