Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Enterprise Digital Capabilities project and the Integration Platform project, as well as to provide project management support on ad hoc IT projects.
This role will involve working closely with the CIO, IT Managers, and reporting to the Director of Technology Portfolio, CIO, and project boards.
The Project Manager will oversee the implementation of COTS and bespoke applications, collaborating with business analysts, solution architects, designers, testers, developers, and other necessary resources. Key Responsibilities:
Scope, plan, implement, and report on assigned projects to agreed standards and tolerances.
Manage project resources and coordinate with business SMEs, service providers, and stakeholders to meet project outcomes.
Develop project management documentation, including business cases, project plans, project reports, transition plans, schedules, registers, closure reports, and post-implementation reviews.
Manage project risks, and escalate and resolve issues.
Support project procurement activities, including workshops, reviews, and creation of documentation such as RFQs/Tenders and evaluation reports.
Establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders and executive sponsors.
Guide project-related changes, ensuring clear, consistent communication with active engagement.
Contribute to continuous project management improvement activities across IT and the organization.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience delivering Project Management services for government programs and/or projects (federal only).
Relevant project management certifications.
Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to tailor/scale project management methodologies, governance, and delivery approaches to the needs and outcomes of the project, stakeholders, and users.
Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, critical/objective thinking, and influencing change.
Desirable Experience:
Aligning outcomes, schedules, and deliverables to the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Preparing and managing/supporting IT procurement activities for on-premise, cloud, or hybrid solutions.
