Job Description - Project Officer


Role Type: 12-month Part Time Contract (15.2 hours per week)
Salary: $
86,165 - $98,972 p.a. plus super (pro rata)

The opportunity:


Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) is seeking a passionate and organised Project Officer to support an internationally significant newborn oxygen research portfolio within the International Child Health Research Group.


 


Reporting to the Team Leader / Senior Research Officer, you will provide dedicated project management and strategic coordination support for multinational newborn oxygen research initiatives, including the launch of the Universal Safe Oxygen for Newborns (UNISON) initiative.



What you’ll do


 



  • Coordinate project activities across international research and translation initiatives

  • Support the strategic launch and external engagement activities for the UNISON initiative

  • Manage stakeholder communications, meetings, webinars and workshops

  • Coordinate website and digital platform activities for global outreach

  • Prepare reports, summaries and external-facing communications materials

  • Support governance activities and collaborate with multidisciplinary partners

  • Assist with project planning, reporting, grants and operational delivery


 


What you’ll bring


 



  • Honours or Masters qualification in Public Health, Clinical Research, Implementation Science or similar

  • Experience supporting or coordinating complex projects or research programs

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Experience managing communications activities, digital platforms or external engagement initiatives

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
