M+W Consulting has partnered with a leading Australian Infrastructure contractor which has the opportunity to support the delivery of the Sydney Metro Stations. Our client is seeking talented and experienced Project & Senior Project Engineers to join their team on a project in penrith. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.
Position Overview:
They are seeking Site, Project and Senior Project Engineers at all levels, you will play a crucial role in the construction of Metro Station working as part of the Stations, Systems, Operations & Maintenance team. As such the ideal candidate will have a strong background in both structure and services management. This experience could have been gained in either infrastructure or commercial building projects, it is desirable to have experience on train stations or projects that have complex services installation.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage engineering activities related to structural and services components of the project, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team, resolving engineering issues and challenges as they arise.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure project objectives are met.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support the project manager in managing project finances, including tracking costs, forecasting expenditures, and managing change orders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience in project engineering and management, with a focus on structural and services engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in construction methodologies, materials, and techniques.
- Experience in either infrastructure or commercial building projects is desirable.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Benefits:
- Competitive daily rate of approximately $800-$1100, based on experience and position (standard 10-hour day).
