Project Support Officer

Federal ICT projects opportunities driving governance, delivery and program success. Your new roleThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale federal ICT transformation program within a highly structured portfolio environment. Sitting within a centralised PMO, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery, governance, and performance of complex ICT initiatives across multiple workstreams.
These roles go beyond traditional project support positions, with a strong focus on strategic delivery outcomes, governance alignment, and portfolio-level reporting. You will work across project and program teams to maintain high-quality documentation, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate stakeholders, and support decision-making through accurate reporting and insights.
Depending on your level, you may also contribute to program coordination, governance forums, continuous improvement of frameworks, and portfolio oversight activities, ensuring projects align with broader organisational and investment objectives.

What you'll need to succeed
• Experience supporting ICT projects or programs within structured delivery environments• Strong understanding of project governance, PMO frameworks, and reporting requirements
• Proven ability to manage documentation, schedules, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
• Experience contributing to governance forums, reporting packs, or executive briefings (highly regarded)
• Exposure to Agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery environments is beneficial
