Role Title: Project Support Officer - EO

Role Description:
We are seeking a Project Support Officer (PSO) is a key member of the team supporting the Senior and Deputy Project Managers in the stand-up and execution of Defence projects.

This role will have a considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise both internal and external stakeholders including HF Enterprise, CASG, AFHQ, DSTG and other Australian and foreign Government agencies in support approval and assurance processes. They will provide detailed professional and policy advice in relation to approval and assurance processes, and will contribute to strategic planning, and project management and policy development.

Primary responsibilities include:
•    Provision of operational support to Project management 
•    Facilitation of administrative and coordination requirements including preparation, execution and recording of project meetings and related decisions/approvals. 
•    Engage with relevant stakeholders and understand their expectations and concerns. 
•    Lead the development and maintenance of Project plans and processes in accordance with agreed strategy. 
•    Research, draft and prepare briefs, complex correspondence and reports including submissions for committee consideration including development and/or review of relevant project communications and approval documentation
•    Work collaboratively, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback.   

Essential Requirements:
•    Security Clearance - NV1, with a reasonable ability to obtain NV2
•    5 years’ experience in complex Defence Project Management
•    Experience in foreign government engagement, especially US Government
