Pronto Developer (IT Specialist) - Generous Compensation

Position can be based from either Sydney or Brisbane offices

The Big River Group is a publicly listed company with over 120 years in the timber and building supplies industries. We are currently seeking a Pronto Developer to develop customisation, provide technical support and support business requirements across our Australian and New Zealand businesses. 

Your Role

The ideal candidate is Pronto guru with extensive experience customising Pronto ERP utilising 4GL. As part of the ICT team, you will own and support delivery of Customisations, Integrations, Advanced Configuration, Bug Fixes and Maintenance, Report Development, Data Management, User Training and Support, Security and Upgrades and Enhancements. In addition to this BRG intend to migrate other ERP systems per year onto the core BRG platform. Your role will be an end to end support, from configurations and customisations to assist our business, all the way to developing training documents and collaborating with teams to implement and support our users. 

What you’ll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Well-developed understanding of programming principles and experience working with development methodologies, including tool sets within Pronto XI, the Pronto SDK and associated Component Library.
• Experience in business application programming. Preferably in a Warehousing/Distribution environment. 
• Knowledge of Pronto Xi Point of Sales an advantage.
• Knowledge of Pronto Xi Manufacturing or the principles of manufacturing an advantage.
• Demonstrated relevant business/functional experience in Finance and/or the Pronto Xi Financial Modules.
• Knowledge of Pronto SMC, plus basic Unix/Linux environment understanding.
• User administration and Pronto Xi Menu/Security/Roles/Functions principals.
• Good understanding of the Microsoft Office Program Suite, specifically MS-Word, plus solid data formatting and manipulation skills using MS-Excel. 
• Knowledge of Trueforms Neo and Cognos is desirable

Required Technical Skills in the following areas:

• Pronto Xi 4GL, Pronto SDK, Pronto Screen Customiser 
• Pronto Applistructure Tools – Alert Intelligence, Data Intelligence
• Working knowledge of SQL & database architecture principles
• Familiar with the Pronto Xi Proman Utility
• Experience in a 720 Version or later, preference to 750 or later
