Job Description - Property Disputes lawyer, 3-5 PAE

We are seeking a 3-5 year lawyer to work on a range of disputes working with a client portfolio of publicly listed and multi-national corporations.

Working alongside our partners, Martin Deutsch and Duncan Myers, the team boasts an impressive client portfolio of publicly listed and multi-national corporations, including shopping centre owners and landlords, property funds and developers.

 
About the Role
The team are seeking a lawyer with 3-5 years PAE in disputes to join the team. Your role in the team will see you working on a variety of complex and often multifaceted legal matters with a focus on property and leasing based disputes.


About You
As mentioned, you will have 3-5 years’ post-admission experience working within a well-regarded dispute practice where you will have had the opportunity to develop your drafting skills, demonstrate excellent research and communication skills. 


You will appreciate the importance of providing excellent client service and will enjoy a busy and client focused work environment. The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess experience across a range of disputes, ideally including property disputes and debt recovery;
  • Experience in court appearance work;
  • Possess excellent drafting, analytical, problem solving, communication (both written and oral) and inter-personal skills;
  • Have a high level of attention to detail;
  • Have a strong desire to work as a member of a team;
  • Be comfortable working closely with clients and, where appropriate, have the experience in running matters with autonomy;
  • Be capable of juggling multiple matters and prioritising effectively; and
  • Be self-driven and have a strong ability to meet deadlines.

Given the PAE we are seeking we are open to speaking with those currently at associate level and seeking promotion to SA in the short term.
