PUD Freight Supervisor - Start Immediately

The Position

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient supervision of up to 14 PUD Drivers and will work in a team environment with other Freight Supervisors.

Daily duties include but not limited to:

• Supervise a group of allocated drivers specifically to ensure freight is loaded for delivery with minimal returns.  Responsibility for a "clear floor" and knowing your customers is critical.
• Driver audits around Van / Truck compliance. 
• Manage time bookings, check addresses for incorrectly labelled freight and unmarked freight, amongst other admin duties. 
• Manage the freight allocation for each driver and communicate to the fleet manager any issues.
• Liaise with other fleet supervisors and forklift drivers on a daily basis.
• Complete dock reports for any freight left and communicate with customer service on a daily basis.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

The role requires attention to detail and good verbal communication with other team members as well as our owner drivers. 

Service is our number 1 focus so you will need to be able to multi-task and at times ,work under pressure with accuracy.  Be prepared for and available for early morning starts from 4.00am, but early afternoon finishes!

Freight industry & forklift experience is preferred.
