Purchasing Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the successful purchasing of goods and services that support Ventia’s operations across Australia aligning with all appropriate policies and standards.
Based in our Toowoomba office in the CBD, you will work within a collaborative team focused environment.

• Some of the role responsibilities consist of:


• Processing requisitions sent in directly from the internal clients


• Obtaining and processing of quotes


• Creating and sending Purchase Orders


• Processing Invoices


• Collating and entering data


• Follow up on queries within the team and other internal departments


• Communicating with suppliers

Skills and Experience

This role would suit someone with transferable skills, from a background such as parts interpreter, warehousing, sales, estimating or dealing with stock on hand. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.  


• The ability to prioritise tasks and have a high level of attention to detail.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• The ability to multi-task.


• Excellent organisational and time management skills
