For thousands working in remote areas, a hot meal at the end of a long day is an essential comfort. ESS, a division of Compass Group, is considered the leading provider of delivering ‘a home away from home’ for remote workers across Australia, and that is why we need you!

We are currently recruiting for experienced, qualified, and passionate Chefs to work at a variety of remote sites across North Western Queensland, on various roster arrangements. Flights will be in/out of TOWNSVILLE (or Brisbane).

Our Chef’s are at forefront of the Compass workforce, providing high quality and nutritious food to the residents, guests & employees onsite. 

This is an exciting and rewarding field of work with real benefits. We offer both casual and full-time positions to suit your lifestyle. Our Chefs have the opportunity to work in all aspects of food preparation from Breakfasts, Lunch & Dinner to Retail grab’n’go to Site Events. 

The Person

To be successful in these roles you'll need:

A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (min)

Previous volume cooking experience

The capacity to work night shifts as necessary

The ability to work away from home for maximum 2 weeks at a time

A manual driving licence is preferred
