Your Team
Quantitative and Data Science is a core function of the Markets division. Markets division is comprised of product specialists across a number of different asset classes. The build of the Data and Analytics capability across the markets division sits within the Business Development team providing services across the markets division.
Your responsibilities
Support and maintain Markets applications running on GCP, Argo CD/Argo Workflows and related cloud infrastructure.
Coordinate deployments, release activities, environment changes and production readiness tasks across supported applications.
Monitor application health, investigate incidents and work with engineering, platform and support teams to resolve service issues.
Improve logging, alerting, observability and support documentation to strengthen operational stability.
Engage with stakeholders to understand operational priorities, support requirements, service dependencies and delivery risks.
Support access management, permissions, secrets, certificates and cloud resource governance in line with internal controls.
Maintain dependency records, support procedures and operational documentation for Markets applications.
Contribute to incident, problem, change and release management processes to reduce operational risk and improve service outcomes.
Identify opportunities to automate manual support activities and improve consistency across DevOps practices.
Must haves
Experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure or application support.
Hands-on experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Argo CD, GitOps or similar cloud native deployment platforms.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, release coordination and environment management.
Ability to troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking, access, certificate and configuration issues.
Experience supporting production systems, including monitoring, alerting, incident response and operational handover.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain operational issues, risks and priorities clearly.
Familiarity with security, access management, secrets management, cloud governance and change control practices.
Ability to create and maintain clear dependency records, support procedures and operational documentation.
Nice to have
Experience supporting applications in financial markets, regulated environments or business critical operational settings.
Exposure to data applications, analytics platforms, reporting workflows or market related systems.
Experience with Python, SQL, Bash, Terraform or similar automation and infrastructure tooling.
Familiarity with service management, operational risk, production governance and continuous improvement practices.
