Fleet Vehicle Service Technician  

About the role

An exciting career opportunity has arisen to join the team at our RACQ Fleet Vehicle Centre located at Eight Mile Plains. In this position you will service and repair RACQ’s fleet vehicles, including pre-delivery and fit-out of new vehicles. You will also diagnose mechanical, auto electrical and engine management faults and fit communication equipment.

Duties

• Service and repair of fleet and staff vehicles in accordance with RACQ fleet maintenance program
• Undertake fit-out and pre-delivery work on new vehicles including auto-electrical and electronic installation and parts fabrication as required
• Install and regular maintenance of computer and telecommunications equipment
• Maintain and repair workshop equipment as required
• Compile and maintain service records and invoicing

About you 

• Qualified Automotive Professional: Trade certified mechanic or auto-electrician/industry related quals
• Licensing: Current C Class driver’s license required
• Diagnostic and Repair Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing various automotive faults.
• High Standards and Safety: Perform tasks to high standards with a focus on safety and timeliness.
• Time Management: Strong time management skills.
• Pre-Employment Checks: Must complete medical, drug & alcohol screening, and criminal record check.
• Work Hours: On-site, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4 pm at Eight Mile Plains.
• Compensation: EBA Hourly rate $39.62 - $48.46 plus tool and clothing allowances (based on qualifications)
