Job Description - Receptionist

CASUAL RECEPTIONIST

Welcome to Stepping Forward Therapy Services

Stepping Forward Therapy Services has been providing physiotherapy to children since 2011. We are a passionate and dynamic team of over a dozen like minded physiotherapists, receptionists and administrative personnel. Paediatric physiotherapy is play based, and our ability to provide this relies on our team members in administration who are friendly, efficient, accurate and flexible.

The position:

Stepping Forward Therapy Services is looking for a Receptionist to join our dynamic and dedicated team in Canterbury. You will have the opportunity to engage with the babies, children and adolescents that attend the clinic and their families. You will have a direct impact on our ability to provide these services, as our administrative processes are key to this. You will be an integral part of a team that strives to provide assessment, therapy and support to children struggling with physical injuries, developmental delay and disability.

This is a casual position for approximately 3 shifts a week (where flexibility to cover staff leave on other days if required will be highly regarded).

Shifts we are looking to cover (days/times may be subject to change):

  • Mon 8.30am - 1.30pm
  • Thursday 12.30pm - 5.30pm
  • Friday 11am - 5.30pm

Please only apply for this position if you are available to work the above shifts.

About the role:

The Reception role includes tasks such as:

  • Welcoming babies, children and their parents/carers to the clinic.
  • Communication: answering phone, email and in-person enquiries, and correspondence with parents, schools and medical professionals.
  • Processing payments through Medicare and HICAPS accurately and efficiently.
  • Managing appointments and schedules within our client management software.
  • Managing a professional clinic space, ensuring professional presentation at all times, with a little flare for the kids.
  • General administration tasks.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Intermediate computer skills. Experience with MS Office required and prior use of Cliniko would be looked upon favourably (but not essential).
  • High customer service skills and an ability to engage well with children and families, whilst maintaining a professional presentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone and front desk skills, and effective communication with our team.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Accurate and precise data collection, invoicing and processing of payments.
  • A can-do attitude with a strong work ethic.

Additional terms of employment:

  • A current Working With Children Check & Police Check is required before commencement of the role.
  • Ideally looking for someone to start work in the first week of July 2024
  • Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.

To apply for this position, please email a cover letter addressed to Megan Smith, along with your CV to [email protected] by Friday 28th June, 2024. Please note, applications will be reviewed in order of receipt.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Please note, only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
