Job Description - Receptionist - Room for Advancement

We are looking to hire a confident Receptionist to join our passionate team at Blackman Recruitment in Adelaide SA.

Join a vibrant and inclusive primary school as the Receptionist serving as the school's first point of contact. This northeastern suburbs school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment, encapsulated by its state-of-the-art facilities and technology for its students.  Within this role, we are seeking a friendly and warm individual in a full-time position, Monday through Friday, over 45 weeks of the school year.
As the Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for students, parents, staff, and visitors and keep the front office running smoothly.
Reporting to the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for:
  • Manage the school’s front desk, reception area and staff room
  • Greet and welcome parents, staff and students
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail
  • Provide administration assistance for the Executive team and staff
  • Receipt payments from parents and students
  • Management and verification of student attendance/absences records
  • Provide supervision in First Aid room
  • Order office and First Aid supplies
Skills
As the first point of contact, you will ideally have previous experience as a Receptionist with strong administration skills. You will exude a bubbly personality, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for working with and supporting children on their journey through primary education.  
  • Warm, approachable and reliable
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Have or willing to obtain a WWCC and Senior First Aid Certificate
