Little Estate Lawyers is a boutique Wills and Estates law firm based in Brisbane CBD.
We are currently seeking a Receptionist/Legal Assistant (4-5 days per week). This role will suit someone who is in the early stages of their law degree who has a desire to get their foot in the door and work as part of a busy small practice, to learn and grow with our firm.
The right candidate will be reliable, motivated, diligent, organised and a great team player who is willing to learn.
Duties and responsibilities
The role will includes:
- Reception duties.
- Outside office duties, including mail, deliveries, court filing and banking.
- Providing administrative support to other staff.
- Providing administrative and personal assistant support to the Principal.
- Administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning.
- Diary management.
- Drafting correspondence and other documents.
- Formatting and amending court documents and other correspondence.
- Assist in drafting precedent documents.
- Arranging meetings and conferences.
- Liaising with clients (including new client enquiries).
- Ordering stationery supplies and attending to general office organisation needs.
- Other administrative tasks as required.
Essential skills and attributes
- Experience in an administrative role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Accurate typing – 60wmp+
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to prioritise and multi task.
- Be professional, reliable and honest with a strong work ethic.
Justice of the Peace or Commissioner for Declarations qualification is desirable.
