Job Description - Reconciliations Analyst

About Reconciliations Team :

This team ensures daily reconciliations between our investment book of records and custody have been performed accurately and timely within the control framework. All crew are expected to provide support , manage any exceptions identified and serve as an escalation point for the team. .

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of cash, position and transaction reconciliations across various portfolios and investment instruments.

  • Resolves escalated issues; provides 4-eyes sign-off for compliance . Assists supervisor with oversight of the unit as assigned. Provides regular feedback to Team Leaders regarding crew performance.

  • Understands and demonstrates a thorough knowledge of team expectations and guidelines by adhering to policies and procedures, as well as maintain capability to complete outputs in a supporting role if necessary.

  • Co-ordinates, monitors and authorizes daily functional responsibilities across reconciliations , redistributing resources where necessary. Ensures team deliverables and controls are completed timely and accurately.

  • Identifies opportunities, makes recommendations, and leads process improvement initiatives to gain efficiencies and ensure quality

  • Independently completes initiatives/projects as assigned by completion date. Writes, analyses, and presents management reports identifying trends and summarizing results in order to recommend changes or continued compliance with existing processes.

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with both internal and external clients and business partners. Leads regular communication with banks to ensure resolution of outstanding rec items

  • Participates and/or leads special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Minimum two years of business related experience.

  • High level analytical and problem solving

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines

  • Ability to understand complex technical issues.

  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft applications preferred

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills.

  • Customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills; team player with positive attitude .
