Recreation & Open Space Planner

ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Our Client based in South-West Sydney, is actively searching for a Recreational & Open Space Planner to join their Planning division for an initial 6 month contract. This dynamic team oversees projects including parks, sports grounds, community buildings, playgrounds and social infrastructure.
  
ABOUT THE POSITION.

In this position, you will play a key role in implementing recreation projects to support the Planning division, from developing project plans through to project completion. Your skills in project management will play a key role in the success of your management of diverse consultant disciplines. 
  
DUTIES.

• Develop and update policies and strategies
• Implement Council's community planning program
• Reviewing and analysing social impact assessments
• Provide advice and guidance to Council and stakeholders

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Tertiary qualifications in Open Space, Urban Planning or equivalent
• Experience working with open space projects and works on masterplans
• Strong community planning, including consultation experience
• Unrestricted Driver's License
