Job Description - Regional Manager- North, NSW

Most companies offer a job; we offer a masterclass. Work for the pioneers in OSHC.

Founded in 2002 and still proudly family-owned, The Extend Group is Australia’s most trusted Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provider. Our philosophy is simple: we take care of the people who take care of the kids. We’ve built a 24-year legacy on the fact that a supported leader creates a thriving community. You’ll be supported by over 30 dedicated specialists in our Head Office who don't just manage systems, they know who you are, celebrate your wins, and are personally invested in your growth.

Job Details

Location: Hybrid / Mobile

Package: Base: $90,000 – $100,000 (depending on experience), plus 12% superannuation.

Plus a generous travel allowance to keep you moving across your region.

This position reports to the National Programs Manager. It’s based in NSW and includes travel to Melbourne once a month for meetings, training and professional development.

The Perks: Why You’ll Love Working With Us!

  • Purposeful Hybrid Flexibility: You’ll be the face of our services in the field, with the flexibility to assist your services during the day, do admin from your home office, and join us in Docklands monthly to connect and recharge.
  • Melbourne HQ Getaways: Once a month, we bring the team together for two days at our vibrant Melbourne head office. We’ve got you covered with all travel, premium accommodation, and expenses fully paid, so you can focus on connecting and collaborating with the crew.
  • The Monthly Huddle: The whole crew gets together for themed games, delicious nibbles, and drinks to celebrate our wins and recharge our batteries. We’re in the business of play, so we take our fun seriously!
  • Level Up with the Experts: Learn from the masters who shaped the industry. With 24 years of stable leadership under our original Founder and CEO, we offer exclusive mentoring and workshops designed to accelerate your expertise!

Your Impact: Key Responsibilities

As our Programs Engagement Manager (Area Manager), you will:

  • Mentor & Mobilise: Turn your OSHC teams into local superstars by empowering them to lead with confidence and fostering a shared commitment to enriching every child’s experience.
  • Champion Quality: Guide your services through Assessment & Rating with the full backing of our compliance experts at our unit TEG Compass.
  • The Community Connector: Act as the vital bridge for your region. By aligning the needs of School Principals and families with the expertise of our Head Office, you’ll ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OSHC programs.
  • Solve & Evolve: Use your "can-do" attitude to tackle challenges, knowing you have a supportive family network behind you.
  • Strategic Reporting: Transform data into insights by delivering monthly reports that showcase your region's growth, celebrate team wins, and identify new opportunities to elevate our service standards.
  • Cultivating Excellence: Drive high performance across your sites by conducting regular educator appraisals.

What You Bring to the Mix

  • Leadership Spark: Proven experience managing people (ideally in Education or Child care).
  • Master Connector: You speak every 'language' of OSHC. Whether you’re engaging with a curious child, empowering an Educator, or navigating a high-level meeting with school leadership, you build trust and connection in minutes.
  • The Credentials: ACECQA approved qualifications, such as a Diploma or higher in Child Care, Education, or Community Services and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!
  • The Essentials: Valid Driver’s Licence and your own car (car allowance is provided).
  • A Commitment to Safety: Working with Children Check, First Aid (HLTAID012), and Child Protection Training are required. We’ll help you get up to speed with these!
