Job Description - Regional Sales Manager

THE OPPRTUNITY

Presenting an exceptional opportunity to join our DAF Sales Team! Providing the vital link between our dealer truck sales network and DTA/PACCAR Australia, striving to achieve the common goals of increasing truck sales and positive brand representation.

Reporting to the General Manager DAF Trucks, the Regional Sales Manager – DAF (RSM) will develop and maintain strong relationships with dealer personnel, customers, suppliers, industry bodies and internal stakeholders to provide a two-way flow of appropriate information. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist and encourage dealers to develop and review sales plans for their PMAs
  • Monitor Dealer sales performance and report performance information internally and to Dealers
  • Generate truck sales through development of programs and ideas, while also recommending and implementing strategies to improve sales performance
  • Support and facilitate sales, product, and other relevant training
  • Coach and collaborate Dealer sales managers and staff regularly
  • Partake in regional or national industry trade shows as required
  • Motivate dealers to utilise all available sales tools, such as customer plant tours, entertainment, cooperative advertising, etc
  • ABOUT YOU

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced business leader who:

  • Has demonstrated experience/understanding of the heavy capital equipment/machinery and the business-to-business sales process
  • Commercial acumen/finance and business skills, including an understanding of various finance methods
  • Tertiary qualification in business, finance or a related field, and previous experience in heavy vehicle sales are highly desirable
  • PACCAR Australia and/or supplier product knowledge as well as industry and market knowledge (including the legal environment)
  • Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • High level relationship building, interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Sales/Forecasting experience
