Job Description - Regional Sales Manager, CardioVascular Surgery

A Day in the Life

Our Cardiac Surgery and Aortic therapies have combined into a unified group called CardioVascular Surgery (CVS) to advance cardiac care. By partnering closely with cardiothoracic, and cardiac physicians, perfusionists and the broader care team, we are strengthening our ability to meet the evolving needs of patients and customers in our care continuum for many cardiovascular diseases.

As Regional Sales Manager based on the east coast, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, as well as leading & coaching the team of Territory Managers and Clinical Specialists. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Plans, directs, and monitors the activities of a sales team within a specified region/district/geography to achieve established sales targets

  • Develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts

  • Manages the day-to-day activities of a sales team in order to implement the organisation's overall sales strategy for an assigned region/district/geography

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions in order to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs

  • Identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organisation's sales plans to increase market share

  • Assesses need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies

  • Coaching sales representatives and clinical specialists on the technical aspects of the organisation's products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree is required, an Advanced degree is desirable

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales and leadership experience, with practical sales, business development and management knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics for one or more products; or minimum 3 years of relevant experience with an Advanced degree

  • Advanced knowledge and skills within the sales discipline, with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organisation

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth

  • Leadership experience or capability in leading, managing and coaching a team

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders

  • Is creative and adaptable with the ability to effectively coach and lead in a rapidly changing environment

  • Is intellectually curious and understands the responsibility of continuous learning

  • Willingness to travel as required
