Regional Sales Manager - Eyre Peninsula

Crop Smart is a prominent force in the supply of Ag Chem with a significant market presence across SA, Vic & lower NSW.  We are an Australian owned and operated distributor of high-quality agricultural chemicals and adjuvants, with our own formulation plant and a network of more than fifteen stores. We stock a wide range of high-quality farm-related products, including crop protection, fertiliser and seed.

About the role: 

Crop Smart is a prominent force in the supply of Ag Chem, with a significant market presence in South Australia. To support our strong growth, we require an exceptional & experienced person to fill the role of Regional Sales Manager to manage the sales growth and mentor their reports in this area. In this role you will have your own customer base to service and grow, as well as the management of staff.  This is a great opportunity to join a highly motivated team in one of South Australia’s most popular & productive regional areas.

Reporting to the SA State Retail Manager, this autonomous role will allow you to use your experience, exceptional interpersonal and time management skills to manage existing relationships with farmers and foster new ones, leading to sales.

This position includes:

• An autonomous role based in one of our Eyre Peninsula stores & responsibility for the EP regional team.

It is desirable that you have:

• Five + years experience of sales, preferably in this region and you want to join a successful and motivated team to further spread your wings, or


• A Management position within the agricultural industry, with a willingness to pivot to a sales role as well as mentor your team.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Familiarity with Ag Chem products (or a willingness to learn);


• Strong farmer links/contacts within the regional area and relate well to farmers;


• Outstanding communication skills and a pride in what you do;


• Excellent analytical skills, and technically proficient.


• An innate understanding of rural communities.


• Prior people management, with an advantage of having successfully led remote teams


• Ability to work autonomously and efficiently
  


• Initiative to identify and implement improvements


• A demonstrated personal commitment to safety
