About the opportunity

The Mercy Care Centre Young is a 26 bed subacute health service facility providing a range of outpatient, community health and aged care services for the Hilltops region. It specialises in geriatric evaluation and management, rehabilitation and palliative care. Our facility is co-located with the Young Health Service and sits within Murrumbidgee Local Health District.

The RN will assist in the provision of nursing care consistent with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Mercy Health, Mercy Care Centre, Young NSW.

The inpatient nursing position operates within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a highly responsive and flexible service highlighting a holistic approach and competency in the provision of person centred care.

·         Provide quality client-focussed care to patients, their family and carers, using a holistic approach

·         Assessment and monitoring of patients’ physical and mental state

·         Be part of a multi-disciplinary team which requires you to provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers

What you’ll bring
 

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse

•   Demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse

• Demonstrated ability in accurate drug calculations.

• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.

• The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
