About our ED team: 

Our state-of-the-art Emergency Department is seeking a Care Coordinator.   

Box Hill Hospital Emergency Department cares for over 70,000 patients annually, with an average of 195 presentations per day. In addition to emergency care, we provide a 24 bed Short Stay Unit for initial care of selected conditions up to 24 hours.  

As a member of the Box Hill Emergency team, you will be part of a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team incorporating medical, nursing, clerical and allied health professionals.  We pride ourselves on providing our patients with timely access to high-quality care. We are a diverse and gender-friendly team, and place high importance on our self-care and wellbeing.  

About you:

To be successful in this role you will possess: 

• Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA or Allied Health equivalent with eligibility for registration with AHPRA or other regulatory bodies

• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience 

• A strong commitment to high quality care   

• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• The ability to work as part of a diverse team, including our Allied Health team 


• Understanding and utilising appropriate referrals to services and programs

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
