Job Description - Registered Nurse - CCU/Cath Lab

Newcastle Private Hospital is currently looking for motivated, enthusiastic experienced Registered Nurses to join our close-knit, friendly and hardworking Cath Lab team on a full time basis.

Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering a high quality and standard of nursing care? Are you wanting to work within a supportive and flexible work environment? Newcastle Private Hospital has opportunities for Registered Nurses to join the team in the Cardiac Catheterisation Lab in a critical role working within the Cardiology services of Newcastle Private. This will provide an opportunity to work with a progressive and dynamic team of Cardiologists, and the supportive and friendly nursing and radiology staff of the Angiography Suite.

Diagnostic and interventional Cardiology along-side Electrophysiology procedures and device implants provides a stimulating and challenging work environment.

You would be available to work within a flexible work environment, whilst being committed to providing a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment.

As a Registered Cath Lab Nurse your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
  • Collaborate with the Cath Lab team on coronary angiograms, pacemakers, vascular procedures and more
  • Lead successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
  • Act as a role model for Safe Practice

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years' clinical experience in Cath Lab, Coronary Care or ICU
  • Working with Children check
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses' and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024" (salaries range between $35.46 and $49.79 per hour).
