About the role


An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Grade 2 Registered Nurse to join the Gastroenterology Medical Specialist Clinics team on a temporary part-time basis to provide long service leave cover. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care across a range of specialist outpatient services, supporting patient assessment, education, clinic coordination and continuity of care. This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise across a diverse range of gastroenterology services while contributing to innovative models of patient care.


Key responsibilities



  • Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centred nursing care within Gastroenterology Specialist Clinics.

  • Support patient assessment, education, chronic disease management and coordination of outpatient care.

  • Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.

  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives, quality activities and the development of innovative models of care.


What we're looking for



  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years' experience in gastroenterology or hepatology nursing.

  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge of gastroenterology, particularly the management of patients with chronic liver disease.

  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development and delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
