About the Role

The Medical Imaging Department provides imaging services for both inpatient and outpatients across a range of modalities which include conventional x-ray, CT, MRI, MR PET, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Cardiac Catheter Lab, IMRIS, DSA and Fluoroscopy. As a Registered Nurse, you will contribute to our service working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Medical Imaging Nurses care for children with ages ranging from the newborn to young people. The nursing role combines the care of the child and family with the demands of complex diagnostic and interventional radiology and cardiology imaging procedures.

We currently have an ongoing opportunity in a full-time capacity, working a nine-day fortnight, Monday - Friday nine hour shifts with an on-call service for out of hours emergencies.

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and autonomously as necessary.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in performing duties.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible to changing priorities and environment.
  • Recent paediatric nursing experience 
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development

    Classification for this position will range from Grade 2 Year 3 to Grade 2 Year 8 (YP4-YP9)
