Job Description - Registered Nurse - Urology

Your role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in urology to join a fast-paced, dynamic 26-bed post-surgical ward. Availability across all shifts, including weekends, is required.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a safe, effective, and professional manner.

The role is offered on a Permanent Part Time basis, working 28 hours per week

The Position:

  • Deliver safe, compliant care aligned with legislation, professional standards, and hospital policies.

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, using resources effectively.

  • Maintain patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality while recognising and responding to changes or emergencies.

  • Communicate and document patient updates, contribute to clinical initiatives, and support/supervise other care team members.

  • Participate as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment.

You will have current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse or Midwife, and demonstrated knowledge of relevant acts, codes, and standards. You will show a strong commitment to ongoing professional development, with clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and well-developed interpersonal abilities that support effective relationship building.

Strong problem-solving skills are essential, including the ability to seek support from appropriate resources when required, alongside a consistent focus on high-quality patient care and satisfaction. Effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, and experience in continuous quality improvement are key, as well as a sound understanding and application of occupational health and safety principles.

  • Salary: $82,945 to $106,630 per annum (pro rata for part time), plus 12% superannuation
